I love making soups and stews. They were a staple in my house when I was growing up. Nothing went to waste. If we had ham on Sunday it was a guarantee we would have soup with ham in it during the week. My favorite was my mother's chicken noodle soup. She would hand roll these beautiful thick egg noodles and put them in a pot of chicken stock that was at a rolling boil on the stove. You have never tasted anything so good. I have made this at the bakery with a bit of a twist, I put spices in the noodles. YUM!
